Forget Me Not

Memories, experiences, and sensations are formed and lost in NotSumNerd’s Forget Me Not, a sculpture depicting an elderly man using touch to navigate his way through darkness, transforming physical sensation into a surrogate through vision. Throughout the build, crumbling structures, insects and wisps of spine-chilling fog serve as visual metaphors for memory decay, reminding the viewer of the fragility of both memory and the senses we trust to preserve it.
